When should I start thinking about ordering paper goods?
Typically, save the dates are sent out 11 months before the wedding date, and invitations are sent out 3 - 4 months before the wedding date. The order process can take anywhere between 4 weeks (for our pre-designed collections) to up to 3 months (for our bespoke service).
It is advisable to start your stationery ordering process as soon as you have the date and venue set.
How many of each item will I need?
A minimum order of 20 of each item is required. We recommend item-per-person goods e.g. One place card, one menu per person. For Invitations, save the dates and thank you cards it is variable but we find taking 70-75% of your total guest number usually works. Look down your guest list, are there more single friends than there are families and couples? The higher proportion of single guests, the more products you will need.
Can I adapt the Pre Designed Wedding Collections?
Yes, we can adapt the suite to suit your wedding theme or scheme, just send us an email outlining your ideas and we will process the order via invoice instead of through the website.
If you request a modification to the pre designed collection, the de Winton Paper co reserve the right to offer the design to other clients but only after your wedding or event has taken place.
The de Winton Paper co reserve the right to display your wedding stationery at Wedding fairs, showcases and social media after your wedding or event has taken place. We can arrange for any sensitive information to be removed at your request.
How many proofs do I get?
For the pre designed Wedding Collections, you will receive 2 free emailed proofs, after this each amend will have a charge of £15.
Do you offer a bespoke service for wedding stationery?
Yes, we can create completely bespoke wedding invitations for you. Take a look at some of our previous commissions on the bespoke page.
How far in advance should I contact you about bespoke work?
We only take on a limited number of bespoke orders so please contact us with your request as soon as you are able.
How long does the process take?
The time it takes for a bespoke project will depend on its size. We recommend a 2–3 month lead time depending on the seasonal calendar.
What type of bespoke projects do we take on?
We enjoy taking on a wide range of work. As well as standard wedding stationery we have undertaken projects such as Birthday invitations, Birth announcements, personalised stationery for businesses and individuals, Christmas present stationery orders. If you have a project in mind, we would love to hear from you.
What paper do you use?
Inspired by original watercolour paper, all of our designs are printed onto Tintoretto Gesso 300 gsm stock.
Do you have any other envelopes available?
We offer a range of beautiful envelopes; tissue lined, unlined or the ever popular Kraft envelope.
Do you offer samples?
Yes, samples are available to buy for our pre designed collections from £2.50. It is always good to be able to feel the texture and weight of the card.
Because of the nature of digital printing, it is not always possible to reproduce colours that are 100% matched to your sample. However, any colour discrepancies are largely minimal and unnoticeable, and will not affect the integrity of the designs.
Do you ship to other countries?
Yes, we are able to ship internationally. We add a charge for international shipping whereas UK shipping is free.
We ordered our stationery from you. Can we use the design ourselves to create other items for our wedding from your digital proofs?
No, as we have chosen to print our designs at an extremely high level of quality to ensure the integrity of all our designs. We reserve the right to pursue legal action in case of the infringement of our intellectual property. All of these things are agreed at the signing of your Terms and Conditions.
