How is my data used?

At de Winton paper co your data is used solely for the purpose of creating your stationery products. For wedding stationery customers, in filling out the Stationery Information Form you are consenting to de Winton Paper co’s use and storage of your data for the time period leading up to your wedding and for 6 months afterwards just in case we need to get in touch with you for feedback purposes. Your stationery files and email correspondence are also wiped of any personal data 6 months following your wedding date unless you continue to contact us for further products. Designs will be retained for future use at the discretion of de Winton Paper co. In the occasion of your purchasing the printed envelope addressing or invitation naming service a spreadsheet of the details will be sent to our printers, Printed.com who print these personalisations.

When should I start thinking about ordering paper goods?

Typically, save the dates are sent out a year before the wedding date, and invitations are sent out 3 months before the wedding date. The order process can take anywhere between 4 weeks (for our pre-designed collections) to at least 3 months (for our bespoke service).

It is advisable to start your stationery ordering process as soon as you have the date and venue set.

How many of each item will I need?

A minimum order of 20 of each item is required. We recommend item-per-person goods e.g. One place card, one menu per person. For Invitations, save the dates and thank you cards it is variable but we find taking 70-75% of your total guest number usually works. Look down your guest list, are there more single friends than there are families and couples? The higher proportion of single guests, the more products you will need.

How many proofs do I get?

For the pre designed Wedding Collections, you will receive 3 free emailed proofs, after this each amend will be charged at my £40 an hour rate.

Do you offer a bespoke service for wedding stationery?

Yes, we can create completely bespoke wedding invitations for you. Take a look at some of our previous commissions here.

Can I have the original paintings?

de Winton Paper co. is not able to give original artworks to the clients due to our attempts to maintain an environmentally friendly stance. I use up both sides of paper and every available corner, resulting in multiple clients’ work on a single piece of paper. If you wish to have the original please let us know and we may be able to accommodate your wish for a small additional fee depending on the scope of the work. There are also occasions when an artwork is painted in separate sections and assembled in photoshop, due to ease of adaptation should the client wish, therefore the originals will not resemble the finished product.

How far in advance should I contact you about bespoke work?

We only take on a limited number of bespoke orders so please contact us with your request as soon as you are able.

How long does the process take?

The time it takes for a bespoke project will depend on its size. We recommend a 2–3 month lead time depending on the seasonal calendar.

What type of bespoke projects do you take on?

We enjoy taking on a wide range of work. As well as standard wedding stationery we have undertaken projects such as artwork commissions, Birthday invitations, Birth announcements, personalised stationery for businesses and individuals, Christmas present stationery orders. If you have a project in mind, we would love to hear from you.

What paper do you use?

Inspired by original watercolour paper, all of our designs are printed on to Gesso 300gsm stock. You can ask for our duplexed 600gsm option for an additional charge.

Do you have any other envelopes available?

We offer a range of beautiful envelopes; lined, unlined or for our bespoke clients we can source a range of further options.

Do you offer samples?

Yes, samples are available to buy for our House Collections from £4. It is always good to be able to feel the texture and weight of the card.

Because of the nature of digital printing, it is not always possible to reproduce colours that are 100% matched to your sample. However, any colour discrepancies are largely minimal and unnoticeable, and will not affect the integrity of the designs.

Do you ship to other countries?

Yes, we are able to ship internationally.

We ordered our stationery from you. Can we use the design ourselves to create other items for our wedding from your PDF proofs?

No, as we have chosen to print our designs at an extremely high level of quality to ensure the integrity of all our designs. We reserve the right to pursue legal action in case of the infringement of our intellectual property. All of these things are agreed at the signing of your Terms and Conditions.

Refunds and Returns

In the event of an order being cancelled by yourselves we cannot refund any money once work has commenced.

Once you have provided final approval of your wedding stationery, we cannot accept returns due to any and all errors. It is up to you to make sure that the wording on the order is exactly as you would like it to appear on your invitations. We cannot be held responsible for any spelling mistakes etc.

By approving your final proof you accept responsibility for the information, wording and layout as shown. If errors are discovered after proof approval, we are required to charge for a reprint at the minimum quantity.
